We are pleased to offer free core vaccinations as part of our community support services.

We are proud to partner with Simply Angels, a fellow nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting homebound veterans. Through this collaboration, Sunny Bear Rescue provides essential pet food supplies and, when possible, helps match deserving dogs with veterans in need of companionship. We are honored to be part of this meaningful work and look forward to expanding the program in the future.

At Sunny Bear Rescue, we reserve a limited number of spots in our program to assist individuals facing emergency rehoming situations.

When owners are able to provide short-term foster care, we can help by listing their pet on our website and sharing the profile across our adoption networks. To help facilitate a timely placement, we keep the adoption fee low and accessible.

In addition to our partnership with Simply Angels, we are committed to supporting individuals in our community who may be experiencing temporary hardship. When resources allow, we provide pet food assistance to help families keep their beloved dogs.

We understand that difficult times can happen to anyone, and we are here to help when we can. Our goal is to establish a more consistent and reliable food supply so we can expand this program and officially operate as a dedicated dog and cat food pantry in the future.

Snip Happens… Literally is Sunny Bear Rescue’s spay and neuter support program created to reduce pet overpopulation and support responsible pet ownership in our community. We offer free or low-cost spay/neuter services for the dogs in our care, as well as for pet owners in the community who may be facing financial hardship.

This program covers the cost of surgery, and when needed, we can also assist with core vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation to appointments. Our goal is to make it easier for families to access essential care and prevent unwanted litters—keeping more pets healthy, safe, and out of shelters.
